As I drive around town I see these rainbow colored flags adorning business & residences, I think it's ok to display your gender, Italian, Polish and just plain
Americans display there likes. Why I ask, is there not a straight Flag? Some kind of token, a heart or the moon with a straight arrow going thru it, something to display and tell the world, that we are straight? I want to get together with the talented artist in town and lets design a straight flag. And next, a bisexual flag, the possabilities are endless. jack 216-280-6995

Well Jack, what would be the main colors? Pink & blue, like the color of a child's gender? Or maybe orange & brown, the color of the Cleveland Browns? How straight would that be? Or red white & blue, true American traditional colors ? I'm looking for thoughts and ideas,.

Heterosexual love has been celebrated for thousands of years via song and story.
There's even a holiday largely dedicated to it (Valentines Day).
So I don't think straight folks feel as compelled to celebrate their orientation.
Gay people, on the other hand, have been shunned and persecuted throughout human history.
In many parts of the country, gays are still at risk of physical violence if they openly display their sexuality.
The persecution and marginalization are why they seek pride in symbols like the rainbow flag.
Increasingly, straight folks are recognizing and supporting their fight for equal rights...and that is a good thing.
