What should be of interest re/ Jordan's Family Foundation is that on average, in the three years 2012-2014, only $15900/28169 (56.4%) of the monies/contributions received were reported to be paid to any charity (see 990s). Alternatively, only $7075/28169 (25.1%) was reported paid to heart-specific charity (see 990s). Those are low ratios. A lot of party expenses?

The JFF claims some credit for the PediPump, which no doubt was a noble endeavor. And an expensive endeavor far larger than the JFF. The lead researcher on the PediPump was Brian W. Duncan, M.D. an associate staff member of The Children's Hospital at The Cleveland Clinic, Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery division.

Take this as a reminder that it's natural for Mr. Rossen to be cozy with and loyal to the Cleveland Clinic. That he acts upon that loyalty as he does on the Deck is another matter.

Trust me, I am not loyal to the Clinic. In fact I have had issues with them since they gave me staph infection (knee) in 1992 leading to 5 more knee surgeries. The infection, hospital time, 2+ years of recovery and more changed the rest of my life. I took it personally.

Stats are good if you include all of them. Not sure what you included in yours. Ronald Mcdonald House helps patients with heart disease and other ailments and their families. Though not directly heart related, they are crucial to patients and families. Money going to school systems, though not directly related to hearts, is specified for use by their health and Phys ed department equipment or activity based recess equipment, mking it heart health related.

You can continue to pick on the charity but we do good things for children and their families with heart conditions.

Any money donated to pediatric cardiology or the like is a good thing, not enough money is sent that way it is mostly set aside fir adult care - those who can vote.

Add on:

Flying horse Farms, possibly the greatest place on Earth, is a camp for children with special medical needs. It is 100% free to families paid for with donations and contributions. Each week is specific to a special medical need (cancer, cardiac, etc). Our money goes specifically to pay for children to attend (or supplies, or however they see fit) during Heart Week. So again, not medical research, but greatly needed for children and their families.

...and...we had at least 2 years of our 11 years that our representative from the CCF did not present us with cardiac related "asks." One year they asked for funding for new TVs in one wing (Not even a pediatric cardiac wing) and I can't remember the other year(s). We opted not to donate to CCF these years because, though TVs are important to patients, it is not part of our criteria to receive a contribution.

So some years we donate more than other years depending on what we are presented with - this is true.

Interesting how those that spew hate and maliciousness are also very vague when confronted with specific facts concerning subjects and relationships that they are intimately involved in.
