Decaying Sotrefront at 13351 Madison

The storefront at 13351 Madison is in horrible condition. The wood around it is rotting, the stucco is peeling off, and the walls are cracking (pictures below).

According to court records, the owner of this property was taken to court last year for not repairing the property. However, the law department made no attempt to serve a subpoena on the owner of the property, so the court had to dismiss the case.

It is interesting to note that the owner of this property put the property into an LLC and then used a registrant service to obscure the actual owner of the property. The only way to find out about the owner is through the tax mailing address. Apparently, he owns a house on Giel, a house on Lewis, the Edible Arrangements Building, and the building at 12603 Madison. None of these properties are in the LLC, however. They are all under his name.

The real question is: why did the law department make no effort to serve this landlord's subpoena? If I could find him in five minutes through public records, the law department certainly should be able to. Why is this allowed to continue? It is also worth noting that the property is $70,000 behind on its county property taxes. Where is Budish on this?

Apparently the Law Director finds this type of work beneath him. After all he's more importantly shilling for elections and regional heath care foundations.

Since he obviously can't handle his job here in Lakewood, why on earth would he accept a part time position in Brooklyn? Perhaps we should all send the mayor of Brooklyn notes and pictures of the great work he has done here in Lakewood! Since Summer's has friends in low places, should we assume that the mayor in Brooklyn is part of the extended company? The people in Brooklyn should be thankful they don't have a hospital!

Question: Was Butler full-time in Lakewood, and did he take a cut in pay from Lakewood when he took the Brooklyn job?

I assume since he went from full to part-time, there would be a pay decrease, but I don't know for sure. You could call up to City Hall and ask (if anyone answers) but they may request that you do a formal records request.

The owner of this property has also been assessed on his taxes for not paying delinquent garbage fees, as well as not paying the water and sewer bills. Hmm...

Is there any possibility he knows someone at the county?

I recall (vaguely) that Butler maintained his full-time status in Lakewood, but I very well might be wrong.
After all, lawyers are in short supply.
