Whew! Glad I put on that giant sponge suit! :D I knew I would need it! :D

We can all keep denying that Mr. Essi is a member of SLH. Indeed, he may not consider himself a "member". On the other hand, he does appear to be an affiliate and the community does affiliate him with SLH, be it positive or negative. If he is not an affiliate, why is he all over SLH's Youtube channel?

I think everyone that pays attention has concluded for themselves that Mr. Essi is at least an affiliate of SLH, so there is no reason to continue to beat that to death.

In summary, I simply pointed out things that I have heard around town and experienced and I get all of the arrows thrown at me and I am made out to be the villain. In my opinion, all of this evidently angry energy would be put to better use elsewhere. Just my opinion.

The villain has put its sponge suit back on! :D

Back to my thread.

What other hats is Jay Carson wearing?

Why is he so passionate?

Corey,

Can you add some content here instead of just saying "oh yeah"?

Everything is not always what it appears.

Many people have assumed you are affiliated with The Lakewood Observer. You are not, correct?

Everything is not always what it appears.

From what I know about Brian, which is actually very little, he never joined either side. Also came to my office originally defending Mayor Summers.

My name was added to SLH 5 times by other members, every time I took it down. Twice I had to join BuildLakewood to comment on accusations, after commenting I quit.

I'm sure Brian can answer for himself.

All SLH wants to do is save: our hospital (our city's largest asset), 1100 hospital jobs (which feed our city's economy), our HEALTH CARE (which has now been denied to us by Cleveland Clinic and the City administration; charitable health care to those who are in need; -- and ultimately - SAVE our CITY.

Brian Essi is not, and never has been, a member of SLH. Not officially; not unofficially; and not affiliated.

Brian (along with many other folks who also are NOT in SLH) shares our desire to save our hospital, our health care, our local economy, and our city. Non-SLH folks have presented their comments and their research at City Council meetings and elsewhere, and from time to time SLH may find it appropriate to post their viewpoints on the SLH website or Facebook page.

Brian has produced an impressive and vast body of valuable and deep research over the past more-than-a-year, and for that we should all be very grateful.

(He actually started out, thinking the hospital should be closed. As he dug into the research, he learned the real truth. That we are being taken.)

Some of those who are unable to refute his research, try to discredit him by the most stupid, annoying, puerile, distractions and accusations.

He has raised, and continues to raise, a lot of questions that deserve thoughtful consideration.

We've learned a lot during the past 15 months - through serious research by a lot of inquisitive folks.

I really don't know what the bickering is about.

Brian, Lori, O'Bryan and SLH all have the same goal.....to get to the truth.
In addition, they are all on Team Summers "enemies list".
They each have their own methods.

City Hall and its allies are working hard via a variety of media to undermine and stifle any dissent.
Heck, they are reading this right now. (Hello, Jen Pae!)

I can only speak for myself. From day one, my only point is, until we understand how we really got here, the discussion of Building is ridiculous.

At the same time I do not have the background to comment on the finances or futures of hospitals.

The loss of the hospital, other large employers are merely symptoms of a bigger problem.

I personally cannot understand how the Mayor can lie and cover up the largest issue/failure in the past 50 years, and be rewarded for it by the people he lied to.

Accountability, honesty, transparency at City Hall are the real problems. I'm vilified for asking for that from elected officials. Interesting group of people.

Thank You for the clarification Dr. Jim, Ms. Harkness and Mr. Deneen. The last I checked we were not part of Corey's fabricated secret society or conspiracy of clowns.

So back to my thread.

Why is Jay Carson so passionate and taking a leadership role in destroying the largest charitable assets in Lakewood that provided $7M in charity service to the underserved?

Why did Jay Carson go to city hall and complain to city council about posters on the Deck and make allegations about being a victim? Hmmm

Why is Jay Carson's friend spending so much time and energy attacking people on the Deck for their views if, as he claims, he hasn't taken sides? Hmmm

I find it comical that you feel your self-entitlement allots you the right to demand answers from others when you are not willing to answer questions asked of you. Silence, avoidance, deflection and most recently (also my favorite by far) seeking a "pity party" for yourself. The Deck is right, it's annoying.

My friendship with your Dr. Jim far outdates most here on the Deck. Hmmmmm

Jay Carson and Nickie Antonio signed up to run for State House District 13. Carson is a Republican and Antonio is a Democrat. These two people were once signed up to run in this district. Jay Carson then withdrew his candidacy after the filing deadline. In other words, nobody could take Carson's place to run against Antonio as a Republican or Democrat, as the deadline to file signatures to get on the ballot had expired.

It is no secret that Antonio stood up at a council meeting (I believe it was December 21st) and sided with council and the mayor to move forward with the Master Agreement. At least, I think this is what most people took by her comments. Bear in mind that this was after she endorsed Skindell for mayor and probably learned many of his campaign strategies or tactics. Was it an honest, innocent 180 degree turn in thinking or was she a "double agent" all along?

In summary, did Jay Carson conspire with Nickie Antonio, Summers, and maybe others to ensure that nobody would sign up to run against Antonio and that she would sail back into the State House for another two years? Was Jay Carson a "plant"? Perhaps he wears the "plant" hat.

Not trying to pick on Jay Carson or single him out, but it does make me wonder what his true intentions were with this, considering Antonio's sudden change of mind and Carson's connection to Summers.

FWIW.

Boys, gentlemen, please I'm not worth arguing over.

I have many friendships here on the Deck that go back to grade schools and kindergarten.

I have never told anyone what to say, as both of you can attest too.

You boys can take care of yourselves, and love to wrassel.

I'm going back to the game while they are winning.

peace out

Perhaps he was afraid of scrutiny.

Maybe he screwed up his filing.

His freind who knows the answers is trying to change the subject of the thread to his favorite movie--Ground Hogs Day.

Not true, my favorite is either Hoosiers or The Last Dragon. Not a big fan of Grounhog's Day. How about you, what movies do you like?

Brian Essi wrote:Freinds of Summers Jay Carson has played many roles in the hospital debacle.

1. He's listed as the "deputy-treasurer" of the "Voters Engaged to Oppose (Veto 64) PAC. He made an impassioned speech to city council last year attacking fellow citizens and labeling them " bullies" and claiming Build Lakewood did not receive money and support from CCF. Given Summers ever shifting testimony it appears Carson's claims were flimsy at best-- as deputy dog treasurer shouldn't he have known better?

2. He intermittently claimed at city he spoke for himself and NCHM, but appeared as the attorney for Build Lakewood and desparatelt filed a brief in support of the crooked Master Agreement.

3. He's been on the Charter Commision.

4. I've been told he's been on the Civil Service Commission.

5. He's been the long standing "secretary" for North Coast Health Ministry--an organization dependent on CCF funding which stands to benefit from the "new foundation"

6. Recently he has surfaced as the attorney for a Build Lakewood member under police investigation for sending anonymous mail to citizens in favor of SLH. If Carson is to believed in his post as to "hating bullies" so much, how and why did he come to associate with and defend such a person and such behavior?

Exactly how many hats does Jay Carson wear?

What is Jay Carson's interest is seeing the hospital destroyed?

Why is he so passionate about this cause?

What is in it for him?

Is Mr. Carson is too "intimidated" by the rough and tumble Deck posters he considers "bullies"?

Or does Jay Carson fit it a definition of a "bully" who uses his status to intimidate others and intermittently play the victim?

Are they any other hats that Jay Carson is wearing?
