Where I Was One Year Ago Today--I Ain't Going Nowhere

Post by Brian Essi »

Dear Dr. Jim and fellow Observers,

One year ago today I wrote my first "epistle" to Summers, Council and Butler trying to help them and Dr. Jim posted it here on the Deck the next day (April 14, 2015).

http://lakewoodobserver.com/forum/viewt ... ssi#p94128

Also on April 14, 2015, I heard about a press conference on the hospital lawn and went to see what it was all about and saw Attorney DeVito and his clients there announcing their taxpayer letter.

I noticed Kristin Broadbent (Director of LHF) standing across the street and went to introduce myself to her--we had spoken on the phone and I recognized her from the CCF/LHA website.

She told me that I was "famous" because my epistle of the day before was posted on the "Deck" by someone named Jim O'Bryan. I asked what is the "Deck" and who was this Jim person?

Later, that month I met Jim and by May I began posting.

A year ago today I was trying to help our local leaders when I wrote: "The false narrative is that the “crisis” at Lakewood Hospital is so severe that you must immediately decide on a proposal that closes the hospital, tears the building down ASAP, and awards CCF a contract without considering any other bidder."

Today I am doing the same thing--trying to help them.

I will continue to do so in the future.

Its been great to get to know you all.

I ain't going nowhere.

Brian, like myself, you have spent many hours researching this whole hospital mess. I have learned a lot from you. I believe that the situation with our hospital and other city business is now beyond what we can do at a local level. It appears that the behavior of Judge O'Donnell and Armond Budish's inability to ensure proper and fair court proceedings is not working. I believe with what I have posted here on the Deck , we realize that the county has some involvement in all this. It appears that the Ethics Commission is also a dead end. I believe that Summers probably knows someone there also. That leads us to the federal level. What happened with the Fair Trades Commission? I believe that Sherrod Brown pulled the plug on that one! He is just another one of Summer's puppets. I have posted a lot of research here on the Deck in regards to Budish and Brown. We must also not forget Lakewood's best traitor and back stabber, Ms. Antonio. I think it is time to step up the investigation and move on the the next level. Judge O'Donnell will keep stalling, and drag this law suit out until after CCF opens the doors to the new Center for Family Medicine, also known as CCF's residency training program, which means the citizens of Lakewood are the guinea pigs for CCF's doctors in training program. Again, I ask, why was a stay order not granted by the courts? Neither judge had even read the evidence. They just said "no". A fair and honest judge would at least put a stay order in place until they had a chance to read the evidence. It appears that Armond Budish, more than likely, saw to this. We are now at a year since the law suit was filed. It is time to go after this situation full force now which means stepping out of our comfort zones. Both the city and county governments are a waste, as I believe they are full of corruption. Will you continue to stand by and wait for the entire city to be destroyed before the judge rules, or will you, like myself, be brave and step out of your comfort zone?

Brian, unfortunately, you can't do anything to help these people, they don't want it! I believe, as I explained above, they appear to be criminals that made a sweet deal for themselves. It appears to start with Summers and council and just spreads up the ladder. SLH is getting robbed by the Cuyahoga County Courts. Did they ever file any complaints against these judges? My guess would be no. It has been a year now and the hospital appears to just slip further and further away. SLH and the people of Lakewood need to up the game and explore other options before it is too late.

Remember how Antonio infiltrated the SLH group and Skindell's campaign only to turn on us and sided with council to destroy the hospital? She seems to be writing an awful lot of articles for the Observer. Do you think she is trying to win back voters? I hope people really aren't that ignorant. Gee, I can't help but wonder what her reward was. Birds of a feather!

If we don't get another judge to hear this case, a year from now we will still be without a hospital.

Sadly, I believe that with this judge, the case won't be going anywhere either!

Brian, Thanks for all the hard work. Before Drug Mart, before Lakewood Hospital, before all the lies and manipulations started to build and compound and define the Summers' administration I had no idea, not a clue, as to the nature of the jackals that run this city. Keep shining that light.

I agree that Brian has put countless hours of research and public records requesting into this whole mess. However, I would also like to thank many of those in the SLH group and other private citizens that have also put many hours of research and time into this as well. We cannot forget them either. They deserve some credit as well. I thank them and we all should as well.
