Bullock Crows About an "Orchestrated Talking Point" Conspiracy and "Grandstanding"

Mr. Mager,

Again, why is it OK for some Save Lakewood Hospital members and their affiliates to make everything here on the Deck political, and not OK for others to respond likewise? SLH had better hire themselves a good P.R. person, as some of the ones that post here want to give it out, but can't take it in. I believe a good P.R. would be able to give the group guidance. Many members have already left SLH. I am sure one of the main reasons could be the political B.S. and, at times, attitudes. This does not make the group look good. In fact, after reading many of the posts on here, one would think SLH is a political group.

At last night's City Council meeting Bullock claimed to be a victim of what he said was a conspiracy of citizens armed with "orchestrated talking points."

He was backed into a corner on a series of falsehoods he had spread so he retreated the role of a victim.

He personally attacked Kevin Young for "grandstanding" when Mr. Young was talking about his own father's death.

Imagine that---Bullock:
1. Lakewood's King of Grandstanding.
2. Lakewood's Talking Point Parrot.
3. Lakewood's Filibuster Blowhard.

......and Bullock is crowing about a talking point conspiracy and someone "grandstanding" about a personal family tragedy.

Remember last fall, when Bullock and his Build Lakewood buddies orchestrated an assault on a Dennis Kucinich press conference at the hospital?--Blers came with posters and pickets while Bullock read talking points written for him that contained the exact words written on the Blers' pickets.

So here is Bullock's problem: there was no orchestrated effort or talking points by anyone last night---it was just a group of citizens exercising their First Amendment rights---Bullock doesn't like that so he invented his victimhood ploy to distract from the truth. That's Bullock. That's bad government.

That video is moving. What a tragedy city politicians and the CCF are wreaking upon the community of Lakewood. It may be that the worst has not yet been experienced. Thank you Mr. Alaimo, and blessings to Mr. Young and his family.

After watching the video, I cannot believe that Councilperson Bullock could be so callous and narcissistic. And not only do Lakewood's residents need to clued into the CCF guidelines, but the people using Avon for ER services need to also be educated as to what is in their community: an urgent care, according to CCF guidelines, not an emergency room. https://health.clevelandclinic.org/2015 ... ress-care/

And as for the other "controversy" in this thread...Mike Deneen likened Bullock to Cruz based on the perception that both are not liked by their colleagues and don't gain leadership positions etc http://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2016 ... s-club.cnn and in my opinion, had nothing to do with the presidential election or partisan politics.

Kate, maybe you are not a regular reader here, but, Mr. Deenen brings politics into every thread. I think it is time for everyone to drop this thread as there is no sense in beating a dead horse.

I'm not surprised in the least at Bullock's reaction to Kevin's heartfelt speech, but wow (!), talk about grandstanding!

Bullock has treated the citizens of Lakewood with callous indifference for a long time.

I imagine if one were to ask Councilman Bullock how it feels to have helped shatter people's peace of mind (healthcare-wise) he'd say, "we had no choice...therefore it was the right thing to do".

In fact, that's pretty much what council said repeatedly in the aftermath of passing ordinance 49-15.

When I was an active member of Save Lakewood Hospital, some of the leadership thought that we could change the council person's minds about the hospital. I said from the very beginning that council could not be persuaded and that they would go right along with what Lord Lakewood requested. Therefore, I don't feel that some of their behaviour's are all that shocking, ( excluding Dan O'Malley as he was not in office at the time of the vote). There is the possibility that they just couldn't say no! ( $$$$$$$$$$$$ )

Yes, there were 49 people and would have been more but there was concern about freezing rain. There is a general feeling of optimism. As more, once hidden, official documents come to light and the truth of this horrible deal are revealed, the more our group is embolden to bring the truth to the public. Each week, new people come to our meeting to find out what's going on.

Kevin, for being the public relations person for Save Lakewood Hospital, why do you continue to beat a dead horse? I have been asked time and time again to make phone calls, etc. for your group. As I said before, I will not be back. You can all cheer now! The behavior of some of your members and affiliates here on the Deck is at times disgraceful and that is why you don't have enough members to handle the work load. Why else would you be calling inactive members for help? I am not the only person in Lakewood who feels this way. Maybe you could help make some of those phone calls. I will sit back now and wait for my tongue lashing, as I know, you and some of the other men here on the Deck always have to have the last word. ( Isn't that why you started all this up again on your latest post? ) I would not expect this from a PR Director. It does not help SLH at all. FWIW

Tom Bullock has always been this way. Did anyone really expect him to suddenly become a caring human being? I don't think he knows how!
