Strange storm over the lake, came in a couple colors. I do not remember seeing it before. Here was the white blue.

Farther out they were copper or red color.

Scarlet?

Gray?

Leaving the winds of Michigan?

Stormy?

There's a really easy explanation here.

GO BUCKEYES! :D

Wow, very nice and such dedication to chasing an event like this! What time did it happen? 2am or something?? Most of us were at home, listening to our houses get battered, me included.

I bet there was a local seiche event too. Kind of hard to capture that at night! That storm hit with a vengeance. Seeing these pix now, it was a wild one.

Some of you may remember this thread from July, 2013.

http://lakewoodobserver.com/forum/viewt ... ing#p86782

Jim was taking lightning photos by the Gold Coast. I was doing the same in my driveway. Jim posted his here on the Observation Deck. I happened to notice one shot similar to mine. It turns out that we were a half mile apart and shot the same lightning bolt at almost the exact same time. We had no idea that we were both taking photos until later.

Jim used his Nikon. I used my iPhone.

I cropped them both to show how they matched. Jim's photo is on the top. Mine is on the bottom.
