This deserves a federal investigation, just to clear the air. Lakewood's finest Mayor just got done doing two years in a federal prison. Mike is no where near as good as Tony. 12 years of plotting, scamming, charades, appointments, lies, bad elections, more appointments ALL SHOULD BE SUSPECT!

To my fellow Lakewood residents, this is what you stand for? moved here for? Look at your kids, tell them why you support a lying city hall that seize public assets for private reasons.

I was merely posting things I am running across. Next up The 50 Year Committee, Foran, Summers, Haber, Einhouse... The problem is, the "real plan was only known by a handful" the rest of the players were dupes and rubes used to fill the ranks. The proper number of votes and guidance was always there, a small group of "friends." Much like Jay Foran/Mike Summers lastest charade "The Active Living Task Force" a group studies it, but not without a majority on the group in control, and then Jay takes "notes" and publishes the white paper he wanted out originally.

"WHAT???? No this was done by a group of residents..." Jay Foran, Mike Summers, Dru Siley always so quick to say, "How dare you doubt the hard work of these good hearted people." Camouflage and a B-story line to cover real story line.

It has all been a huge lie, all of it. Read the deposition. %0 year, committee, LakewoodAlive, LCPI, Grow Lakewood, Vison for Lakewood, and Active Living, and more, ALL A BIG LIE by a small handful of people doing it for jobs and their own gains.

Lakewood was played, and ripped off for over a decade!

I agree 100% that a Federal Investigation is certainly in order. We all know by now that Antonio infiltrated not only Skindell's Campaign, but also Save Lakewood Hospital. All the while letting her constituents think that she was for Skindell and for saving the hospital. Then, she stands up and backs the Mayor and Council on closing the hospital. Next, it appears that the gang had Jay Carson sign up to run against Antonio and then withdrawal at the last minute so no one else could run against her. We can forget about her for any help. The next question is: I believe that it is possible that Summers and his gang have probably paid someone off at the federal level. I said a long time ago that I thought what appears to be corruption in this city goes to the county and ,possibly even further than that. Hell, it appears they have bought off the media too! But, they couldn't buy off the Observer! We are all still here exercising our freedom of speech, even if that does mean having every police car and city car follow you everywhere you go!

No we don't all know that.

Lori, it is not illegal to LOVE Commercial Economic Development. This is what I do not get. Why not openly talk about this? The only reason I can believe is they believe the community would not support their ideas. But they have hijacked our city, our political process, our schools, our libraries, it is pretty wild when you look at the over lap, and the shifts over the years.

However public officials running public assets into the ground, so that a few of their friends benefit, I think we have problems.

Unfair bidding process, we have problems.

AND WE ALL KNOW it is the cover up more than the act. How many half-truths did Jenn Pae know she was telling?

Everything they have done should be suspect, all books should be opened. These are public funds, public officials and elected officials.

I assume you were posting this in jest but it reminded me of something I heard recently. It seems that Lakewood Police officers are spending increasing amounts of time out of the city at area hospitals waiting to take reports. This was something I had not considered when the hospital closed. Despite the Mayor's claim of good news for our community when announcing the original Letter of Intent to close the hospital, this situation is bad news Lakewood.

Meg-- I have been an avid listener of the Lakewood Police scanner for a number of years. Many police calls necessarily involved the responding police accompanying a victim to the hospital. After completing the police portion of the paper work the officer(s) were literally, instantly, back on patrol in Lakewood. And, the travel time to the hospital was a couple of minutes at the most.
Now, the travel time to and from another hospital is about an hour. That's an hour that that officer(s) are just plain old out of Lakewood and obviously not doing any patrolling in Lakewood.
An hour here, an hour there - pretty soon it ads up.
