Girls Hoops: Magnificat 58, Lakewood 36

Post by Michael Deneen »

Bad news tonight from Valley Forge, where the Rangers season ended at the hands of Magnificat.
I'll have a detailed writeup in the next print edition.
It was the last game for Christen Donahoe and Mallory Shaw, who have both been wonderful players.
The girls ended the season very strongly, making it to the third round of the tournament.
They got beat tonight by one of the best teams in the state.

Leading LHS Scorers:
Mallory Shaw 13
Olivia Nagy 8
Christina Kamkutis 7

Thank you Alex for the wonderful photos!

Before the game, I asked Kellyn Donahoe "who's gonna win?"
She said "We are!"
What she lacks in prognostication skills she makes up for in cuteness.

It was the final game of Christen Donahoe's fine career.

Coach Mike Harper coaching them up. There were some good schemes, but Mags had too much talent.

Sophomore Olivia Nagy had 8 points, mostly from the paint.
