Referendum Petition update:
The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections has received the Referendum Petition this afternoon. Per Brent Lawler, the BOE is very busy but he anticipates that they can execute their portion of the process by Wednesday afternoon. We expect that the City Council of Lakewood will expedite their part when the Petition is returned to them and place this issue on the March 15, 2016 ballot.

So glad to hear that the" Hamlet" of Lakewood, Mr. Butler, when pondering the question of, To submit or Not to submit, finally acquiesced and sent the signatures of his neighbors on to the Board of Elections. What a standup guy.

The Mayor and his supporters will do everything possible to make sure there is no vote. He and his pals want the money and they are not going to let the law stand in their way. To much is at stake.
The Clinic wants a monopoly on health care in Lakewood and they want the $50 million or so in Foundation money. I am sure they are applying a lot of pressure to kill the vote.

If anyone believes that there is something immoral or illegal happening with the referendum, earlier on this thread I listed the telephone numbers for the Ohio Secretary of State. Maybe instead of complaining and wondering, some could make some phone calls. Just suggesting.
