Hostage Situation Ends Well On Fry

Around 1:30pm Lakewood Police were called to a domestic situation in the apartment on the corner of Fry and Clifton Blvd. and then things got bad. In the blink of an eye it became a hostage situation as it is believed alcohol ignited a bad situation into a terrible situation.


Eventually the police were able to talk some sense into the confused man, and he gave himself up and was taken into custody.


Police cars on Fry were moved to make room for the ambulance to take him into custody and to the hospital for evaluation.

All is well that ends well.

In January of 2006 SWAT and Lakewood Police were called for a stand off near the middle of the street.


SWAT at the back door, there was at least one hostage and the threat of blowing the house up with acetylene and oxygen tanks.


Stand off went deep into the night.

That stand off ended well to.
