I always enjoyed the posts that made me laugh.
That was almost always guaranteed anytime Matthew Markling attached a youtube snippet to complement a post.
It was absolutely guaranteed whenever Build Lakewood would send one of their professional victims onto The Deck to conjure up or to reinforce the image of them typing a post, huddled in the basement, desperately sending out THE MESSAGE, with one eye on the keyboard and the other on the street. Ever fearful, ever searching for that phantom mob of mean spirited "Lakewood Observers" who were advancing with lighted torches and pitchforks in hand. That really that made me laugh.

I think the most telling posts on the Observation Deck in 2015 are the ones that have not been made. The posts that went unwritten from people due to antics on the Observation Deck stand out as the Deck's largest symbol in 2015.

I'm thinking those posts (the ones not made here) were made at other discussions boards and social media sites under faux names.

Gotta appreciate folks Corey who are not afraid to use their real identities and express their views.

You are most likely correct about posts on other sites. I am just thinking of all the times people have said that they no longer wish to post on the Deck due to the antics that occur. It also seems that many people have gone away or been weeded out from making comments on the Deck due to such treatment if they do not "drink the Kool Aid" and have opposing thoughts.

At this rate it will be a very quiet Deck in 2016 with only about 5 or 6 people left to comment here. What a shame that this is where the Project has taken the Deck.

One of the craziest concepts that follows the Observer is it is "A Club" or "Group Think" that we all compare notes, and we work as a machine, or we are told what to think or write.
The only Kool Aid ever peddled regularly around here has been "Lakewood needs Clean, Safe, Fun with a government accountable to the residents and businesses."
Seems more like water than Kool Aid to me. Sorry, no Kool Aid, and certainly no Cool Aid.

With all due respect, I feel that there is a good amount of evidence.

1. CCF and the city have been fighting the discovery process all along in court. If there is nothing dubious or potentially incriminating, why are they not turning paperwork over?

2. Why was everything held in executive session regarding this deal? Possibly to hide anything dubious or incriminating?

3. There is the issue of Fitz's fake newspaper. This was turned over to the proper agencies as a potential election law violation. Why did this appear to be swept under the rug?

4. There is also the issue of alleged mayoral campaign material being included in July's water bill. I believe several people turned this over to several agencies for investigation. Although no violations may have been found, why did this appear to be swept under the rug?

5. There is also the issue of the "secret" meeting between LHA/city officials where armed CCF cops were guarding the door. Could there have been dubious activity being discussed?

6. There is the decanting plan that LHA and Summers created.

7. The contents of campaign finance reports (although this is circumstantial).

Lori, this sure got buried in a hurry.
Granted there's a ton of suspicious behavior, but there's either a lack of substantiation on the big stuff, or election violations that were out in the open, but relatively small potatoes considering the big money the City is losing in the deal. Still, where there's smoke there's fire and there's an awful lot of smoke blowing from City Hall.

We need to put Woodward/Bernstein on the case.

I am quite proud of the nearly $100,000 my charity has donated to the Children's Hospital for Pediatric Cardiology at the Cleveland Clinic but I am not sure how that relates to Lakewood Hospital. I don't think that our contribution to the PediPump, which is an artificial heart pump for newborns with heart disease, has anything to do with this. I think you are stretching too far to make some kind of joke or point or maybe you are just trying too hard.
