Jay Carson to Challenge Antonio For State Rep?

It appears that Republican Jay Carson has filed petitions to run for state rep against Democrat Nickie Antonio in the 2016 election. See http://boe.cuyahogacounty.us/pdf_boe/en ... teList.pdf

I am almost certain it is, but can anyone confirm for certain whether or not this is the same Jay Carson that lives here in Lakewood?

Jay Carson is an avid BL supporter (as I'm sure most of us know). It is his right to affiliate himself with whatever group he wants. On the other hand, there were a few meetings and other city functions where I was not overly fond of the way he presented himself and he seemed somewhat overbearing.

I wish him the best. However, I feel it may be difficult at times to explain why he advocated for the hospital closure and the resulting job losses.
