Build Lakewood Troll Pasquale Manno

Post by Bridget Conant »

Pasquale Manno meets the definition of an internet troll, and worse. He should be exposed for the "plant" that he really is.

It is apparent that Manno is a Build Lakewood associate and was likely sent here to make posts that others dared not make because it would expose their utter disregard and contempt for the average Lakewood citizen, the Observer, and prominent critics of the hospital deal. His first post here was to attack Brian Essi and the Lakewood Observer, his second was to promote a video of Build Lakewood member Jay Carson, and his third post demanded an apology for Build Lakewood supporter David Stein. Next were posts supporting Build Lakewood supporter and council member Bullock.

The Build Lakewood cheerleading and rhetoric continued and he posted on election night, at 8:25, BEFORE THE ELECTION WAS COUNTED, that Summers had won and ended his post with a gleeful "Goodbye Lakewood Hospital!" Hmmm.

His post of November 5 stated:
The Battle for Lakewood Hospital is over. Build Lakewood has won.

Clearly, he is here representing and supporting the agenda of Build Lakewood.

His next few posts illuminated his real mission - attack Jim O'Bryan and the LO. In four separate posts, he called for O'Bryan to be replaced as publisher of the LO, suggested that the LO advertisers be boycotted, taunted that the paper was unable to publish when he didn't see the Nov 24 edition, and then insinuated that the LO leadership and staff were "not transparent."

Manno would post these provocative posts and then disappear from the conversation. Why? Because he isn't here for the conversation. He's here to "stir the pot."

His last two posts were so outrageous and egregious that the thread had to be deleted. He used the occasion of the tragic death of a young mother to further his own agenda. Some of you may have seen the posts, but I truly hope you were spared. They were despicable.

Pasquale Manno, in your quest to promote the agenda of Build Lakewood, you have crossed the line. You have used a suffering family as an opportunity to "score points" for your side. You are sick and obsessed, and obviously stop at nothing for your own gratification.

I hope that Build Lakewood publicly disassociates themselves from you and your activities. We know why you posted that, and you made a serious miscalculation.

Thanks Bridget.

I too have been sickened by his posts.

By his callous disregard of a death in our community.

By his disrespect for those who do research and present it others to read on the Observation Deck.

By his constant sarcasm. When others try to discuss extremely important subjects, he always attempts to bring the conversation down to a lower level.

Your tactics are getting old Pasquale, very old. Maybe it's time to grow up?

Didn't this idiot just get some kind of award for Citizen of the Year or something otherwise meaningless? Whoever handed out that honor needs to be shown what caliber of person they bestowed this upon.

This guy (let's not name him anymore, it gives him the attention he craves) is not merely a troll, but a particularly bad and unsubtle troll. It seems to me he is all about himself and not so much about tearing down LO or building up BL. A better class of troll would never have commented as he did on the post Jim appropriately deleted. There was something ghoulish about his actions. Maybe someone here has more knowledge about him, but that's what I perceive from his comments. If he started out affiliated with BL, I'm sure they don't want anything to do with him any more.

Every time one of us brings up Pasquale Manno, it just gives him more attention. I would concur that we should let his name sink to the bottom.
