CCF Jumps Gun--AGAIN--Tells Hospital Employees that All But ER Will Close in Q1 2016

Post by Brian Essi »

The lawless CCF does whatever it pleases without regard to the rule of law.

Today, they told Lakewood Hospital employees that the hospital will shut down in the first quarter of 2016, except for the ER.

The TOP SECRET "New Master Agreement" has not yet been finalized nor has it been read or approved by Council.

That doesn't stop CCF--they do as they please.

Toby Cosgrove and Brian Donnelly to Lakewood: "To Hell with the health and safety of Lakewoodites and your underserved!"

Great first step in your "Future of Healthcare in Lakewood" Mayor Summers and City Council---Just let CCF wipe their feet on you and the sick and needy citizens as if they are doormats.

Despicable!

Brian, when it comes to the law, I only know what I see on TV and read in John Grisham books, but is an injunction possible to keep them from shutting the hospital down prematurely?

Speaking strictly as a citizen and not as a lawyer, I would say definitely.

This is my question because from a law standpoint it is very confusing

city council can vote and make a deal with Cleveland clinic even during the lawsuit process the two seem unrelated.

But this is my question. with the lawsuit being postponed, say till February. or even say to june for the matter of discussion.

would the hospital be able to have that happen, or is that when the judge can step in and say we have to wait until i rule.

I do work their, however i have no specific dates about anything. much talk and allot of rumors.. but what is the actual law.

I assume once the deal would be made, its like getting the keys to a new house, are you able to do what you want? sorry if i seem naive im just trying to process all this information. and understand what can happen and what cant. I feel like the vibe is once the council approves --lawsuit or not the hospital will close

This was the problem I was telling so many people that were "tired of hearing about the Hospital Deal," It continues no matter what. The only factor is if found responsible for loses, the amount that would be paid. The backroom talk is will LHA holding over $40,000,000 in public funds declares bankruptcy, and or how much their insurance covers them for. Lawyer and ex-Department of Justice Attorney Mark Kindt wrote a piece on this a couple months ago, doubting that LHA Insurance would cover them enough in a lawsuit that involves failure to do their fiduciary responsibilities, opening them for personal actions.

At the same time there is the talk of other lawsuits sitting in the wings once a deal is announced. After all without a document, and just talk, there is nothing to focus or look at. There is talk of many of the issues being looked at that have been talked about here.

90% of all Lakewoodites would admit the process and roll-out were just amateurish and BS. No offense but even the latest releases brags that the new deal will make it easier to check our weight regularly. Imagine liquidating a $150 million dollar money making publicly owned access and one of the key points why, "so that we can check our weight more regularly as a key reason."

The worse part of where we are headed is that it is no longer up to the residents of this city. These suits will be heard, and taken on by groups outside of Lakewood, with a slant on LEGAL ISSUES. Seems to me I said about 8 months ago, the only scenario worse that the LOI, was to release the Clinic, and end up in court for years with nothing. It only happens when you allow the Clinic to close in Quarter 1 of 2016.

Christopher, as I said to you in the first time you posted. We have been lead into a nightmare, especially for you the employee.

It's really incredible how ruthless the Clinic is, so hell bent on throwing 800+ people under the ambulance just before Christmas, all to advance their agenda regardless and in spite of the lawsuit. Pretty soon, will things will be beyond the point of no return at the hospital? The Clinic is counting on that being the case.

No words are too strong to describe such actions but they are too strong to type here. :(
