The PD picked up the story - what a surprise!

Here is Tom Gable's response:
Gable said the Lakewood Hospital Association has never considered selling the Westlake building as a standalone property. He said the association continues to believe the proposal with the Cleveland Clinic announced in January is the best course for Lakewood Hospital.
My question is, should Tom Gable be allowed to continue to do the Clinic's bidding and block virtually every and any offer other than that of the Cleveland Clinic?

At what point do we allow this duplicity to continue? What means do we have as citizens to have him removed from this discussion?

Lakewood Hospital is the People's Hospital.

The People are the Landlord under the Lease and the folks at City Hall are the Landlord's & People's representatives. They are our Fiduciaries.

LHA and CCF as the tenant and manager of the tenant, respectively, both want out of the Lease and have breached the Lease and their respective agreements. Tom Gable is a CCF trustee who has sabotaged LHA resulting is damage to Lakewood's property (the People's property)--additionally he lacks the needed skill and integrity--he is in over his head.

Under the circumstances, any Landlord in the position of the City of Lakewood has the right (and perhaps the duty) to seek alternative tenants and/or buyers for its buildings and equipment.

No rationale Landlord would let the tenant's and the manager's representative (Gable) or the manager (CCF) in control the search for the new tenant.

The folks at City Hall have allowed this problem to fester to the point where they are all exposed to claims of malfeasance as our fiduciaries.

Surgical Development Partners is a viable solution to the goals of the People---including, but not limited to SLH and BL.

Gable doesn't even live in Lakewood. I believe he lives in Rocky River.
