Thing is, most of them have the good sense not to get involved in an unwinnable debate on The Deck. I guess I had a momentary lapse by posting this thread. Maybe I've just had enough of the utter BS being peddled as 'FACTS!!!' on The Deck.

I realize just how futile it was for me to make this thread indicating that a video posted by SLH was disavowed by those in the video. I should've known the response would be to attack the messenger.

Mr. Porter, no one is attacking you or threatening you. They are just pointing out that your post is factually incorrect. The fireman video is not a SLH video. SLH had nothing to do with the video. The individuals on the video were just giving their opinions on how the closure of Lakewood Hospitals emergency room would affect the safety of the residents of Lakewood.

SLH has not threatened anyone one on Build Lakewood or any of its supporters. The same cannot be said of the Mayor and the people of Build Lakewood.

They have filed false police reports to silence their critics.
They have threatened the jobs of people at the Hospital if they speak about publically about their concerns.
They have used City employees like Rick Uldrick to intimidate the owner of the Lakewood Observer.
They have lied repeatedly over the last 4 years about their conduct and their intentions.
They have lied about the financial state of Lakewood Hospital.
They have lied about the existence of other offers for the Hospital.
They have actually rejected offers that would have saved the Hospital and 1,500 jobs.

The people of SLH have simply pointed out the truth. If the truth offends you ask yourself why.

You have stated that your argument is unwinnable on the deck. If that is true perhaps its because you don't have a winnable argument.

I could actually be convinced to change sides but no one in the Mayors office or at Build Lakewood has even tried to engage in an honest debate. I guess an honest debate frightens them.

Why?

I am not a member of SLH and I don't speak for them. Everything I write is mine--I take orders from no one. Do you hear me whining about people calling me a "mouthpiece" for SLH? Buck up buddy.

You wrote a lot, but said little, except you added one additional falsehood: That the three firemen somehow disclaimed their prior statements. Show me proof where they did that? If you have proof then explain if you can why?

Please note: you continue to use those fine men in your politically motivated bunk. All that SLH did was to post what is self evident from the student video. The firemen were obviously very concerned about people--not money and things.

Paul Porter is engaging in the same tactics as The Summers group and Ed Fitzgerald. Throw out false information and lies and see what sticks.

The video is NOT an SLH video and though he's been told repeatedly that it was made by actual firefighters without any connection to SLH, he apparently thinks repeating that lie over and over makes it true.

Arguing with him is like arguing with a petulant child who has been told they can't have something they want - no amount of explanation will do as they aren't going to listen to reason.

Put this in the category of a closed mind. With all of the evidence against this backdoor deal, the illegal and sneaky campaign tactics, the outright lies, and the level of corruption in the Summers/Fitzgerald administrations, anyone who still supports Summers is akin to a "birther," they just aren't worth arguing with.

My thanks goes out to our brave Paramedics who have the guts to say what the consequences will be when we have no real emergency room. The worst part about this is that their chief threw these young men under the bus in order to protect Summers. What kind of leader does this? I believe these young gentlemen will probably be fired in the near future. I recall that this is another tactic that Summers uses against employees who don't agree with him. Chief Gillman told me that our paramedics can make a run to metro and back to Lakewood in eight minutes. This has got to be a fallacy. What about the time spent in your home trying to get you stabilized prior to transport? What about the paperwork that needs to be done prior to the paramedics leaving Metro to head back to Lakewood? It is pretty sad that Lakewood has the best Police and Fire Departments that appear to lead by two people that will stop at nothing, including not backing up their men and women in order to support Summers. I did not see Chief Malley come forward to protect his officers that were assaulted. In fact, I believe that most, if not all of these cases were dismissed at Lakewood Court. By the way, assault on an officer, I believe is a felony.

Mr. Porter, if you would like to see the true definition of mean, lying people, go back a couple of weeks and look up the thread Anti Summers, Pro Skindell. I wrote a piece about all the rapes that Summers has been hiding from the citizens, and Summers released the trolls to come on and change the subject and attack and defame me. If you are basing your vote on people's behavior and not by doing your research, I can tell you that this is not a very smart way to make a decision. I urge you to please read the documentation that has been written here on the deck. Mr. Kenny was supposed to come back to the Deck and post the documentation to prove the "facts" on the Build Lakewood post card. After weeks of asking him for it, all he could say was"I stand behind what the post card says". In other words it was not true as he cannot supply us with any documentation. I really hope that you get the chance to look up documentation from Discovery from the Lawsuit here on the Deck. I wish you luck with that and hope to see you back on the Deck.

Does anyone know the number of heroin overdoses there have been in Lakewood this year to date? I am assuming there is more this year than the 52 last year, seeing as we are now the number one suburb for heroin now in Cuyahoga County. I would ask Chief Gillman, but, it would probably be turned into a puff piece by Colin on onelakewood.com about how Lakewood did not have any heroin deaths this past year.
