Wreck of Fitzgerald Rising Up?

Post by Bridget Conant »

Brent Larkin had an interesting piece on Fitzgerald after the gubernatorial debacle.

While his friend Brian Powers called around to find Fitzgerald a job, Ed indicated he was done with politics.
“You and I know lots of people who have to be in politics because they need the attention. Anyone who knows me knows I’m not like that. My self-esteem is not based on whether or not I’m in public office.”
Oh, if only we could be so lucky!

As Brent notes in argument that Fitz has no future:
FitzGerald has no base, no connection to the middle class, no charisma.
In addition:
The stories about him mistreating people have become an urban legend. He’s burned too many bridges to have a future.”
Yet here he is again, trying to direct Lakewood and meddle in politics. If he can't be out front, he's happy running the show and pulling the strings of his puppets.

Please, let's put an end to Fitzgerald and his back room, vindictive, arrogant politics once and for all.
