BTW I think this topic was way more important for HOT OFF THE DECK - WHERE LAKEWOOD TALKS than Summers, Beebe, Einhouse and Litten Want to Raise Your Taxes

Let's be real clear here because there are people reading this who take things at face value and aren't going to necessarily see what's going on.

This thread has nothing whatsoever to do with the merits of the Hilliard Theater, whether it should be torn down, whether it can be saved, or if the owner is a nice guy or pays his taxes.

This thread was created for one purpose - to try and smear Mike Skindell. The intent is to link Mike to what most people in this town consider a lost cause - a decrepit building well past its prime and in horrible shape. By saying Skindell wants to "save the Hilliard Theater" they think they can paint him as a kook who is naively trying to save every outdated and useless building in town so they can then compare that to the hospital issue and argue that he cannot see that the hospital is outdated and obsolete.

Its a juvenile effort that is past its bedtime.

Did you see the screen shots? Who posted that? Why can't we get a response from Skindell? Why send his people to try and discredit it? What is he hiding?

Yes. The real story here is that Lakewood Citizen -- run by City Hall employee Rick Uldricks on company time -- is spreading false rumors about Mike Skindell.
They desperately want to deflect attention from the hospital, the fake paper, Ed Fitzgerald, etc.

Stop asking questions that go against the grain of the Deck. There is no place for that here.

Okay, return to troll bashing Deckers.

Why don't you just ask Skindell to comment on here and get it settled once and for all? Heck, he can email me (he has my email address) and I'll post it there if he doesn't like to be involved with the Deck, which I completely understand.

I posted exactly what was going on.

Why the hell would anyone care about the Hillard Theater when we are losing 880 good jobs, a hospital for a sack of lies by elected officials.

Maybe like the Republican Debate we should talk about "Fantasy Football"

Grow up, The Citizen blog, out of his basement when he is not shuffling around for the City of Lakewood on our dime is the most worthless piece of electrons in the city.

So the city pays Rick, Rick puts a hit on Skindell. Why the hell don't you ask rick or the mayor why we are paying Rick for his trashing people?

Mayor Summers campaign is quickly becoming the most corrupt in the history of the city, and you want to make sure, State Senator Skindell was really talking to Italian Creations about more space?

dude, I not one to call more than my brother from another mother Corey a troll, but really?

The City just spent $36 million on schools and libraries to prove how educated we are, and you want to ask that like 10 times?

Really.

So, you posted your comments and that's word right? Huh, ok. This goes against Skindell's grasp of reality, simple as that. You said it yourself that the theater is beyond saving, so all we need now is a yes or no from Skindell, transparency right? Dude.

Corey, Todd

I would say to repeatedly badger people for answer they have no direct way to get immediately seems a little like what Corey would call bullying.

I would call it ridiculous. Especially when it is from a completely bullshit story, posted by someone on the mayor's payroll.

So it is hard to get a credible candidate comment on someone's else made up bullshit. (my term) :D

Again, lacking honesty, transparency and accountability, the hallmark of Mike Summers Administration :D :D

I have no idea what SLH wants, or Build Lakewood. I am just saying from me, aligned with neither it seems silly.

So to answer Corey's question which is much more important than the mayor laundering $150 million in public money into $32 million private money.

People ask questions against the grain all day long.

Todd said he has Skindell's email he had his campaign donations from 2001 or something. Why hound others?

Besides, I talked with people on his campaign and posted what was really going on.

Outside of that, maybe if you both ask again, the answer could change, but not tonight, I'm going to bed.

Don't you two have shoes to fix or something?

Gary Rice taught me the power of smilies!

Your rambling doesn't change anything about this thread and your support for Skindell and the SLH is pretty obvious and has been through this whole process. I think we need a little more transparency and accountability from the LO and you.

Back on topic. I got a response from the city on it. Why not the same for Skindell? Honesty, transparency and accountability needs to go both ways right?

BTW, I don't have Skindell's email, he has mine, most likely, or my wife's so he knows how to get in contact with me and what does "he had his campaign donation from 2001 or something" mean?

"Besides, I talked with people on his campaign and posted what was really going on." so have them respond here, get this nonsense over with, put me in my place.

So we are to assume that they are aware of this thread, or at least the topic at hand? Next time you "talk" with them can you ask them for an "official" response? Maybe you can put it on record next time, and cite your sources.

yeah maybe.

See one of the secrets of the Observer Project is we do what we think we like and or care about. Not what you think or care about.

Instead we would hope you would do what you care about, and possible share what you find out through your eyes and experiences.

This is kind of new for people, we print on newsprint, and we do the news, but we do a hell of a lot more.

Ask Bill Call how it works, he has been working for what he cares about for over 10 years.

It is kind of amazing what you can assemble if we all just find what we can, and report back.

It's how we broke the LeBron James story.

Disclaimer, not sure of how "Team Summers" does business, but I usually figure official means Mike or Mike.
