It's Murder! Blood On Their...

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

... Beak, well his beak.

While coming home from Nature's Bin Deb and I saw this brazen murder and feeding frenzy in front of the third apartment up Kenilworth within eye site of the Bin.

Image
About the size of a small turkey, a Red Tail Hawk had grabbed a squirrel and proceeded to kill it.

Image
There was a woman in a door watching it, but Deb and I walked within 15 feet of it.

It would stop, look around then go back to eating the squirrel.

As the group of people watching him eat grew, he grabbed the kill, and left.

That looks like the Hawk (or evil bird as I call it) that flies by my house and drops its carcass on my head. Yes...dropped dead bloody carcass on my head. Or s/he sits on my porch while I am out there and squeaks at me. I am not the momma bird...go away.
