SOLSTICE STEPS - Political project
So all of the talk of all of the workmen were correct. "We have to get these done before the election or we are in trouble." I laughed and said, they are the Solstice Steps, not the Mayor Summers Steps. The workman rolled his eyes.
The Solstice normally happens June 21, and December 22. Once every 4 years it falls on June 20, but generally the June 21, December 22. So one might think it would make sense to open celebrate the Solstice Steps near the Solstice they are named after. October 29, got me on that one. Oh, it's right before the election.
So, $1 million in spin and crisis management, to convince us the Hospital leaving is good news. $2 million for a groundbreaking of steps that get people no closer to the lake, right before the election. What other surprises do we have coming?
How much will the Re-Elect-Me campaign cost the Lakewood taxpayers?
How about a government that is really honest and transparent instead of using it as "Sound Bites And Politics As Usual"
I will address the bullet points tomorrow, but after a near child abduction at Lakewood Park, a recent armed robbery, the worst heroin overdose record in the county and waiting 2 weeks to tell the city we had a serial rapist working the area, it kind of makes the safety thingies on the flyer moot.
And Tom George started the Downtown Revitalization Plan.
just saying.
