Congratulations to all on a fine issue. It's great to see the high achieving young bloods in spotlight. And hats off to Gary Rice for a very distinctive and interesting experiential take on the two churches. Reading writing from the heart of the Lakewood experience through Gary's historical sense makes me very proud of our culture, people and project. The dedication of the people participating in the LO continues to amaze me.

Could anywhere else put it up and out like Lakewood and the LO - with image and text cresting bi-weekly through the wild heart of Jim O'Bryan's love for city?

As we are finding out very quickly, Lakewood can stand taller than most. Lakewood is the city many others now look to for charting a course for their future and how to get there.

None of this would be possible without the engaged and brave residents of Lakewood that are willing to put it out there. One thing the LO has been given many kudos over is finding and empowering true civic leaders. As the Cleveland Foundation has said, it is truly and Economic Development and Civic Leader Machine.

Who would have ever thought that a simple lunch at Wu's would lead to such fun, such enlightenment, and so many good and very positive moments?

Thanks too, as always, for your kind word and encouragements.

I have a feeling that my column on the two churches really touched a nerve with the community this week. It was tough to write it, without too much emotional involvement. It seems to have been highly appreciated.

It's unusual for an op-ed piece like mine to run on the front page, but this week, I think it must have been a stroke of genius for someone to put it there. The timing seems to have been just right for this kind of column.

The other articles really worked well this week too.

Jim and Dan, you guys are fantastic to work with. Nice job!

This paper has really carved out a niche in Lakewood.
