I apologize in advance for this is extremely off the topic.
But Mr Rice brought up Quakers and I thought perhaps either hel or especially Mr Warren would be able to help me out.

Some time ago I heard an author speak, I remember she was a woman with a delightfully soft and soothing voice, on the public radio station in Columbus. She was a Quaker and one of the things she said was that Quakers beleive there are only 10 phrases you ever really need to say to get through life,

It was philosoophical of course not literal. "Pick up that room NOW" was not one of phrases. :) But I have Googled this several times and come up empty.

Dee,

I can think of a couple phrases from Quaker faith tradition.

A favorite Quaker expression is "Way will open", meaning that if we do not have the answer now, it will come in its own time.

Another paraphrase would be that-

Peter said this and Paul said that- but they are dead and gone.
This is thy time, what sayest thou?

God has only thee.

Another that comes to mind, seeing as many Quakers seek the Inner Light of Christ within, would be,

"Mind the Light"

Hope this helps. :D

Dee:

Could you be thinking about Miriam Greenspan, an author, psychotherapist and Buddhist practitioner doing some conference work with the Quaker community?

See: http://www.miriamgreenspan.com/

Since my interest is in how insights from C.J. Jung’s critical psychology might inform civic play and practice within the Wood’s psyche as expressed through the LO project, I wanted to take this synchronistic occasion of expanded Quaker inquiry to point you toward another site:

So we are stepping way off the peninsula, out of devolution, and now into Quaker light.

It’s always a joy to share the good company of thread drift with you, especially one that moves us from "the fight" toward "the light."

Mind the Light.

Way will open. :D

Hi,
Other cities are doing exciting things to help their residents employ green enery. Why doesn't Lakewood? If City Hall is unable to lead, can't they at least follow?

Please read: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/15/scien ... .html?_r=1

Perhaps, action is being taken and I've just missed it. If thats the case, please someone educate me.
