Is this a trick question? If I say "yes" will you show up? I've seen how well you can cut a rug on a dance floor/street corner!

balanced leaving your palate with a clean, crisp finish.

Perfectly integrated aromas of ripe gooseberry, fresh lemon zest and citrus blossom interlaced with fragrant passion fruit. Abundant flavors of grapefruit, ripe Meyer lemon, sweet blood orange leading to soft mineral notes.

Bright Bing cherry, anise, earth and mineral notes in the aroma mingle with soft rose petals. Bing cherry and berry flavors linger pleasingly on the palate with hints of toasted oak and vanilla in the finish.

Lush, bright flavors of Bing cherry, plum and raspberry with fragrant aromas of vanilla and nutmeg. It is medium bodied with soft tannins and a long, satisfying finish. 15 months in French and American oak.

2005 Round Hill Cab. Sauv.
Aromas of ripe, black cherry, raspberry and French vanilla with forward fruit flavors of boysenberry and raspberry. Soft, elegant tannins lead to a smooth finish making this wine enjoyable from beginning to end.
2006 Rutherford Cab. Sauv.
Complex layers of black currant, anise, and ripe Bing cherry intertwined with subtle nuances of toasty oak. Full fruit flavors of black currant and pomegranate, with soft undertones of vanilla, fill your mouth on the very first sip.
2004 Rutherford Reserve Cab.
Our Reserve opens with a subtle punch of spring cherry bloom with a whisper of smoke. The taste begins with a blend of mocha, black tea, ripe Bing cherry, blackberry and rhubarb. The smooth velvety tannins compliment the full fruit intensity from initial taste through the finish.

I wanted to start another thread for this but I felt that would make me a "thread hog"--we just tallied the prizes we are raffling off for the event and the prizes alone total more than $10,000. Happy bidding and good luck to all on the raffle.

Corey

I post here to bring it back to the top, I cannot think of another thread on the Deck that deserves it more.

I am very proud of both you and Kara, for how this event has grown, and your efforts are being rewarded. I wish you had gotten involved for different reasons, but with hope, and more events, we can hope for good outcomes for all that are affected.

Good luck.

Jim,

Thank you very much for the kind words. Kara, the kids, and myself are all wishing you a speedy recovery and good health to follow.

I am very proud of the community, the blanketing support, and the well-wishers that surround our family, friends, loved ones and all those in-between.

I, too, wish we had another reason for our involvement but would never change the path we are on or the course we are leading. I've always welcomed the challenge of an uphill battle but, honestly, never imagined what it would be like with my own family attached to the battle.

In my own reflection, I've realized that I have become a much better person because of a faulty heart valve in a little girl with the most beautiful heart in the world.

To all the people out there who have become active in something positive that they truly believe in - I have this to say to you; "You, too, are better people for it. It will go noticed by at least one person in life, if not many more, maybe not now, but definitely in time."

Current statistics show a lower trend in heart disease and I can honestly say that I, along with my family, have contributed to that.

Ditto, Jim.

The Markling Family greatly appreciates the wonderful work and dedication of Corey and Kara to this cause. My comment from this time last year is probably an understatement …
