It is with deep regret that I must report that Lakewood's own Groundparrot Gilligan has indeed seen his shadow, so we here on the North Coast's Lakewood rim- must indeed, endure 6 more weeks of winter.
Relax all, it should be at least that long before tornado season starts.
As the crack of dawn slowly began to illuminate his room, I was hopeful beyond measure that the cloud cover would keep Gilligan from seeing that shadow...but then, the blue skies came forth, and as surely as the sun rises, so did Groundparrot Gilligan....and his shadow.
At least my money, spent yesterday on that contractor-grade ice-breaking shovel, purchased at Lakewood Hardware, will not go for naught...
