Pat.

Welcome to Jimmy's little cyber-ant farm, otherwise know as the 'Deck.

After nearly 900 postings of my own, and about 80 newspaper columns for the LO, maybe you should be writing MORE, and me, LESS. :D

To date, writing's been good, and even fun, once in awhile. :D

Those of us who post here regularly often fall into role-playing. Often as not, I end up the "compromising peace-maker". Others have played "rabble-rouser", "jokester", "inflamators", "victims", etc...you name it. In fact, some of us around LO party tables even have discussed reversing our normal roles for the heck of it.

There are more walk-on character roles in this cyber-reality show than in probably any epic that you'll ever see in the movies.

A few caviats, though...

Bear in mind too that the internet is forever. Any "oops" that you post is an "oops" forever. Don't post when you are supposed to be at work, or doing something else. Remember, like the police say, that your words can and will be used against you, if you get too cute with them.

Above all though, remember that you have a right to express your opinion, BUT here's the thing.

Just like most of us look back on our own yearbook pictures from elementary school and think YUCK!" so too will many of us regard some of our live-forever postings in cyberspace. Opinions can change, and so do we...

...for example, I was once a... well, we need not go there! :D

Anyway, leaving thread-drifting alone for a moment...

My projects for 2009?

As always, keeping the faith... :D

helping others.... :D

and pickin' that banjo! :D

Pat,
Are you the Pat Murphy I know? Great to see you here. I'm not much of a Deck poster but every now and then, the spirit moves me. Still prefer hard copy print to all this internet brouhaha - lol!
