Christmas Tree Bonfire?

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

With all of the talk of bringing back "Lakewood Days" which I hear is underway, how about bring back the Christmas Tree Bonfire, that used to be the second week in January at Lakewood Park.

The city would collect all the trees from yards, and pile them up at Lakewood Park, then light them on fire. It was an amazing bonfire and event?

I just found some photos and will post them shortly.

Let's rock!

To blunt potential opposition I suggest the event be renamed the "Green Holiday Tree Bonfire".
