Not to rain on the parade or anything. But who pays for all this. When these peoples come to town who pays for the city to roll out the red carpet? (or barricades in this case).

Lakewood once again this year on a national stage. It is all good.

Sit back, enjoy.

Caribou Barbie in Lakewood?

This is great news.....for us Democrats!
Among rational people, she's a walking advertisement for Obama.

I certainly hope all current and future GOP office seekers are there to get a photo with her. Those pictures will come in handy for future democratic advertising. As David Brooks said, she represents a growing cancer within the Republican Party.

If the GOP ever wants to be relevant in Lakewood or Cuyahoga County, it needs to distance itself from the theocratic, bigoted, anti-intellectual far right. As Colin Powell says, that party is narrowing.

Mike

Yes Governor Palin will be in Lakewood to speak to Lakewoodites and those from around the area about her views and ideas for this country.

One of the things I assured the Palin advance team was how much they
will love Lakewood. Even used the example of a young politician that
came through working for Kerry and decided to live here and is now
a councilman.

Lakewood Park, crisp autumn day, a chance for the city and the kids to be involved in history days before the most important election of their young lives, and maybe ours.

It is all good.

We passed legislation regarding these types of events and fun runs, etc. I can't remember the exact details, but I know that it required more financial responsibility to be put on the event organizers. Maybe someone from City Hall can shed light on whether a permit was required and the cost associated with that. The big expense is the police overtime, the barricades are miniscule in the whole scheme of things. This will probably require almost the entire force in some type of rotation. Remember, the event might be ticketed, but it is impossible stop the overflow crowd and/or protesters. Don't forget school is out on Monday :D

Mike is a good man and a good Democrat, I see the quote comes from
the right not the left. For what it is worth.

Stephen, you were officially referred to as that "clicky guy." In a meeting
in another city yesterday. I merely explained some of your background and
that you are merely channeling other thoughts which is part of your day
to day zen duties.

So that's what she got when she sold that plane.
