Perhaps the ACLU is the group to call and ask, since they are often the group making challenges regarding 501c3s endorsing, or appearing to endorse, candidates.
It would be very unlikely that a challenge to your 501c3 would be made, because you aren't visible in the same way that a church is visible, for instance, but with all the other interesting things that have happened to you, I would suggest that being careful would be a good choice.
