It was odd to see the very spot that I eat lunch at every day turn into this big stage for one of the more prominent political figures in the world. The transformation was neat.
This girl spent the entire event sobbing. The AP writer who sat next to me and I were betting that she would faint, but she didn't. Instead, another member of the crowd, an elderly woman, fainted because it was so humid and hot in the building.
