Thanks, Jim! For any folks on the fence about Roller Derby, I really have to say it is a fun time. Very retro feel to it and a fun, competitive game. The turn out for these events has grown like crazy over this past year. The last event I attended in August filled the indoor soccer field in North Olmsted to nearly capacity, including the "suicide seating" along the sides of the track (a fairly dangerous place to sit but as close to the action as you can get without playing). The audience is a cool mix of families with kids, bikers, punks, sports nuts, riot grrls, and a lot of the ladies' parents. The atmosphere is a mix of pure sport event with quite a bit of bombast and brag.

I can't remember most of the folks in Lakewood on this team but I suspect there are a ton of them. It would be cool to know if any are on the Observation Deck??
