The last Friday of every month, ClevelandBikes and its sponsors host Bike to Work Day. August 29th is just such a day.
I don't work downtown so I'm not a Bike to Work Day regular, but my understanding is that it operates differently this year. In previous years we left at 7:25 AM from Phoenix on Detroit and 7:50 AM from Arabica at 116th and Detroit, then rode to A.J. Rocco's on Huron Road downtown. I believe now you are encouraged to ride whenever, and to wherever.
In support of the cause, and for the benefit of anyone who might wanna try, I plan on riding downtown tomorrow, at the times above that have been used in the past, that being 7:25 AM from Phoenix on Detroit, and 7:50 AM from Arabica at 116th and Detroit. And I'll head toward A.J. Rocco's downtown with stops if need be to wherever else you would like. Usually I take a route that involves Detroit, Franklin and the Hope Memorial Bridge. But I'm flexible. When we're done I'll head out to Middleburg Heights.
By the way I'm also told that the above-mentioned establishments (and others around town) are providing free coffee or pastry to Bike to Work Day riders. We'll find out. Like I said I haven't done the official Bike to Work Day ride this year yet.
The pace will be comfortable and I (we) obey all traffic laws. Helmets are highly encouraged. The weather forecast for 8:00 AM tomorrow is for cloudy skies, 67 degrees and little chance of rain. So if you wanna join me, please do. If you need more information just post here or PM me.
If you have said to yourself “man I'd like to try biking to work†this might be a good way to start. I'll help any way I can. I haven't driven to work since early June.

Hey Tim.
I'll be biking in tomorrow as usual, but as usual bike to work hours are way too early for me. I have to get the kids to school between 8:45 and 9 a.m., and then I can go to work. So if anyone's interested in leaving the Phoenix at 9:30 or so, send me a message.
By the way: the other day I learned that in order to jump a Humvee, you actually need two cars.
