The yoga place is opening in a different storefront than the recruiting office..I believe that one is still vacant. And so many businesses have been in that corner space (Lakeland & Detroit) over the last few years that I fully expect this one to be short-lived.

Puma has been holding classes at West Shore UU Church, they seem well attended from what I've been able to glean (I'm a member of the church and have walked past classes going on in the Chapel on my way to various committee meetings). I think that corner is a better attention-grabber than borrowed space, and I'll definately be checking out the grand opening as mentioned on the website:

http://pumayoga.net/

~ GRAND OPENING~
August 8, 2008
6 - 8 p.m.
Meet the teachers of Puma Yoga as we welcome you to the studio. Enjoy local foods and wine. Pick up a yoga schedule. Groove to some upbeat, world-beat rockin' music. Sign up for a package of classes and save $$$

Purchase a 10 Class Pass and enter the drawing to WIN a 1 Hour Massage!

New Studio Address:
15602 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood OH

Join us for classes beginning:
August 9th, 2008.

Thank you, original poster, for the reminder - I'd seen the URL on flyers but hadn't gotten around to visiting the website. I'll now pass it on to some other Lakewood friends who I know are interested in taking yoga classes.

Be the change you want to see in the world, right?

Thank you for the information. Local wine and food has my attention :D but I could use a really good yoga class too so I will for sure check it out based on your information.

On another note, I just ate at Ferris Deli on Lakewood Hts. Blvd. after a recommendation and was pleased with the food and owners. The little outdoor seating was nice too. I am embarrassed that I thought they just opened but they have been there five years!!! They are new to me so I thought I would share, good Philly Cheesteak!

I'd also heard that Europe Mart (under new management) has tremendous sandwiches. I was getting nervous when I saw a live bait sign in the window.

Holy Cow I just drove up Madison and noticed a handful of new businesses! I will have to go back to get their names and post them but in the old Star Spectrum there is a shop that looks like consignment for art, yoga classes, and more. I will have to drive back to find out the others. I think a little section in the paper listing new businesses would be nice because it takes so long to get noticed!
