Kudos to the Plain Dealer for pointing out the immense problems with No Child Left Behind and the conflict between what a community like Lakewood accomplishes, versus the obstacles of poverty, special needs, and non-English speaking students that Lakewood strives hard to properly serve, unlike many neighboring communities. Anyone reading the "report card" accurately would see how well our schools do. Politicians determining how our "report card" should read is like a garbage man giving out medical advice. I am grateful the reporter for the PD broke it down for all to understand the harm that NCLB can do to schools, including the teachers, students, and tax payers.
