Applebees?

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

Has anyone heard anything new?

I was stopped and asked by someone, and I mentioned everything I knew it was still on track. They mentioned it was not.

Has anyone heard anything?

On July 1, a representative from Applebee's appeared with representatives of Forest City in front of the Planning Committee to get approval for a number of motions (lot re-apportioning, materials approval, site plan, etc). At that point, it was explained that the deal was not 100% complete, but it was 90-95% done.

As the Committee approved everything asked for, I don't know what would have happened in the meanwhile to sour the deal.

BTW, it was also approved in that deal to switch from building a second six-story condo unit on that same lot to a three-story class-A office building.
