Thanks for the photos.

Being in the parade means I miss actually seeing the parade.

I really enjoy seeing lots of friends watching the fun and even managed to convince a friend to bring her jet-lagged family from San Diego to see Independence Day, Lakewood style.

Brian wonderful photos.

Ivor as always your photos are amazing and they look like you can almost reach out and touch the subject.

Here are mine of the parade and some from later in the evening.

Thanks to Danielle for your addition!

These photoblogs of the parade are really special. We usually don't see parade photographs taken by people IN the parade, for one thing, and they also all have a certain feeling about them that capture the essence of the event.

So thank you, Deb, Bryan, Brian, Ivor & Danielle.

I can only imagine how it would feel to be away from home and have the opportunity to look at this kind of coverage. I wouldn't find it anywhere but in the Observer, and I'm sure I would make a pest of myself showing these blogs to everyone and telling them that this is my hometown and this is what an Independence Day Lakewood style looks like.
