Congratulations to the newly hitched Mr. & Mrs. Lay!

Post by Ivor Karabatkovic »

Fellow LO friend, shutterbug and writer David Lay and his lovely fiancee (now wife) Jennie Gerras tied the knot today in Ohio City, and followed up with a celebration at Sterle's in Cleveland.

The guests (and photographer) enjoyed home style Slovenian food and great music and fun.

David, who is part Irish and Scottish, surprised the crowd by wearing an authentic Scottish kilt and being escorted down the isle by a piper.

I had the pleasure of taking photos of the wedding and can say that I didn't work a minute of the day! It was a ton of fun, but also very touching and elegant.

I wish you the best of luck, health and prosperity, Mr. and Mrs. Lay!

With the permission from the bride and groom, I give you the newlyweds!

My wish is that David and Jennie experience as much happiness as they obviously felt on their wedding day throughout their marriage.

and Best Wishes to the happy couple.

Sharon what shows in the photos is just how much in love they are with each other.

They make a wonderful couple.

On a sad note Lakewood loses David to the MidWest for the next 5 years.

Thank you everyone for your kind words! We are honeymooning at Disney World and having a wonderful time.

We are honored to have Ivor to shoot the wedding. He did a fantastic job as usual.

Hey everyone!

We have arrived safely in Des Moines! Luckily the flooding here has pretty much subsided. The flooding in the DSM area was pretty much confined to parts of downtown. Most of the affected businesses have reopened. The Arts Festival here is still going on this weekend, but Brewfest (originally scheduled for the weekend that the flooding happened) was rescheduled.

Rest assured, I will still be as active as ever on the Deck. Look for a column about a Lakewoodite's life in another city in the coming weeks!
