Yet more Kudos for Lakewood Hardware.

Post by Jim DeVito »

Just thought I would share my very positive experience with Lakewood Hardware.
The place is clean, well lit, and well organized. The gentleman at the counter helped me get just what I needed and was very nice about it. To top it all off unlike home de-pot I was in and out in what had to have been under a minute and a half. Very well done indeed

Thanks!!

NOTE: To all you sudo carpenters. You really do need to store spackling in a low moisture environment. They do not just say that on the lid for nothing. ;-)

Take care all.

Jim-

Another hint: if you have a project that uses Plumber's Putty, buy a small amount. When you are finished with the job, unless you plan on doing something similar in the VERY near future, throw the remainder out or take it to the recycling center.

Odds are, even if you put plastic on it after you use it, the stuff is going to dry out and be useless when the next adventure in plumbing comes around...

Jim thanks for the endorsment, I'll never tire of being appreciated for the praise We receive for performing our jobs. A tip on plumbers putty/glazing, plumbers putty for the most part is fish oil based and glazing has made the transition to soybean oil but both will respond to a slight amount of linseed oil drizlled on top prior to sealing up the container for storage.
