Post by Ruthie Koenigsmark »

Lets gear up for something fun..........how about this

Main Street Lakewood, Lakewood Is Art (LIA) and Vance Music have been hard at work to bring bring to you...Band2gether, a free, outdoor summer youth rock concert series. The concerts will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Fridays in the municipal parking lot next to Sinagra Park in the heart of downtown Lakewood.

The goal of the Band2gether 2008 concert series is to showcase the abilities of young musicians of middle school and high school age, while bringing community members together to celebrate the diversity of talent in the Lakewood. The 9-week series debuts Friday, July 4 and ends August 29, 2008.

Auditions will be held Saturday, May 10, from 1-5pm at the Hi-Fi Club--this Audition is open to the public and will be just $2.00 to get in.

Bands interested in performing or anyone interested in participating as an event sponsor or donor(and we need plenty of those) please contact Ruth Koenigsmark at 216-521-2894 or rkoenigsmark@yahoo.com. Applications can be picked up at Vance Music.

Many hours have been spent planning this wonderful event-- we are excited to give young adults a place to showcase their talent and the community a fun event!

Hi,

Auditions for Band2gether will be this Saturday, May 10 at the Hi-Fi Club from 1-5pm..

the General Public is welcome --admission is just $2.00 --to get a sneak peak at this summers wonderful line up.

Celebrity judges are:
Ken Warren, Director, Lakewood Library
Jody Dobos, Singer/Songwriter
Michael Gill, Scene Magazine
Fred Cousins, modQuad
Denis DeVito, Cats on Holiday

Come out and support these talented kids. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that sponorships for this event are still available.

Is the Hi-Fi on Detroit by W 117?

I don't know why I was picturing the Winchester.
