The Observer makes Advertising Age

Post by Bruce Kratofil »

Reading Advertising Age this week, I was surprised to see the Lakewood Observer mentioned:

http://adage.com/mediaworks/article?article_id=126685

" The young Lakewood (Ohio) Observer "newspaper" is publishing online every day -- but going to print, where its ad revenue resides, only every two weeks. "

Pretty soon, you guys are going to be "doing lunch" on the other Madison Avenue - the one in New York!

Nice catch, Bruce!

It was fun to see the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, AND Lakewood Observer mentioned in the same paragraph.

The only other papers mentioned in that article are Long Island's Newsday, the New York Post, and the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Lakewood is getting some very positive regional and national attention for this project. The whole city should be proud of their participation.
Nothin' shakin' on Shakedown Street.
Used to be the heart of town.
Don't tell me this town ain't got no heart.
You just gotta poke around.

Thanks for the catch and the post.

It is amazing that Lakewood has become one of the leaders in community papers, media and ways to accomplish it.

I cannot thank all that have worked on this so hard.

While we might lunch on Madison Ave., we are not leaving Lakewood.

Thanks again.

"Ad Age" that's big time.

Kudos.

Sharon

Thanks from all of us at the Observer for the kind words.

However...

Our full color page in the National Enquirer credited to the Lakewood Observer, was big time, Ad Age was extremely nice as well.

What is nice is that it reenforces what many of us have been saying along. The Lakewood Observer is playing to a much larger stage than Lakewood.

Thanks again to all that are making this happen, and newsworthy.
