Well that would be another issue altogether and would probably require bidding wars for the rights ;)

What would Klaus Oldenburg think of the problem? Even the worst offender could probably be adjusted... see Jim's original above for reference.

How about Ice Cream?

Is this really a possibility? What would a ballpark figure be on creating/installing such decals? If it doesn't impinge on the access and ventilation for the boxes, how could AT&T say no? It'd be a no-brainer. It'd turn an eyesore into a fashion statement.

How to pay for it? Each street could fundraise amongst its own residents to pool together money to customize their own box.

PS Dustin, that's hilarious!

Depending on how far you want to go, $1,000 - $2,000 possible much less depending.

Dustin's Clae Oldenberg/Dustin James cone would be a little more.

However think of the great publicity for Lakewood and the fun!

OK

Jim - great idea!

Now, if we only had AT&T's blessing, this could be big news....

This is hilarious.

the PD is doing something like this with their paper kiosk things that are lining the streets, and the art classes at LHS are in charge of painting Lakewood scenery (the library, old house, etc.) onto them.

Maybe we could go that route?

Meanwhile, since I might be overseas this summer and I'll miss the parade, I'll throw something into the mix and give the wonderful artists a new logo/slogan to work with:

Meet AT&F, Assemble, Trash and Flee. Serving Lakewood since...?

Jim,

I stole this "actual" photo from your contest thread.

Now, THAT"S funny!

How many council/ex-council/administration/ex-administration people are going to be lucky enough to have their own signature model?

Poor Mike Dever will probably never get his own signature model, because HE VOTED AGAINST these hideous things. Maybe we should award him a signature edition adopt-a-spot garden in honor of his service.

Maybe we should rename Lakewood Park, Dever Park?

Lakewood's Dever Park?

1 mile west of Highland Ave.

hmmmm

It's Earth Day!

On this day, let's celebrate a little Earth Minute in honor of Mike Dever's lone stand against the AT&T boxes.

NO!

Beautiful work. Endless possibilities for decoration of these boxes. We're counting on you to make the presentation to AT&T.

Keep going!
