Joe
Thanks for coming along on an unofficial field trip.
What got me last night, was the bridge building I never thought possible. As many of us look at the Heights as a "cool" city, they look to us in the same way. The number of of times I heard "Looked to Lakewood." and "Lakewood our sister city." Gave me a great feeling.
After all it was Lakewood(the community), that made all of this possible. I have said it before, I only wish we saw what outsiders see. The Heights were filled with preconceived notions about Lakewood that vanished as they signed on to the Deck, and spent time here.
Thanks again for coming along last night.

Congrats!
Future Heights is an outstanding group. In the early stages of LakewoodAlive we met with them regularly to understand their model. Much of what we created was reflective of the organization they had put in place. They were a real inspiration to us and LakewoodAlive will always be appreciative of the help we received from them.
I am sure they are seeing great value in the Heights Observer.

The future does not belong to the strong and powerful, but instead to the swift and agile
