All I could think of when I saw the furniture yesterday was a brand new box of Crayola crayons when I was a kid. It was magic.

As Katie and I were admiring the newest additions to the Library yesterday, Director Kenneth Warren honored us with a personal explanation of the wonderful opportunities the new additions will offer Lakewood Families - including the Librainium!

Director Warren's account was so exciting that the newest addition to the Markling Family was born just a few hours later!

Ian Matthew Markling was born on April 8, 2008, at 5:39 p.m., weighing in at 8 pounds, 14 ounces and 19.5 inches in length. And, Ian calls first dibs on the Librainium ....

That sounds really cool. It almost....ALMOST....makes me wish I had toddlers again (if I could fast forward the teenage years).

Congratulations. Happy everyone is well.

I think Ian knew where he was and just couldn't wait any longer.

Congratulations Matt and Family. Sounds to me like you are going to have a reader in your family.

I was there tonight. And I saw the children's area. It is gorgeous. I think the photographs may appear a little stronger than the color actually is.

I did have a question. There is an area in the front of the children's area which appears to have class on both sides. What is going in that area?

Thanks

Lynn:

That area is the children's activities/craft room, a program space for such programs as Family Weekend Wonders, Story Times, Shake Rattle and Roll, and Craft Sessions for After School programs.
