Holly Wood Caught In The Wood

Post by Bill Grulich »

Last night around 1:30 AM, a thirty-year-old man had stopped at the BP Station at Warren Road and Madison Avenue. After filling up his car with gasoline, he went into the station to pay and lo and behold, his new date took off in his car northbound on Warren.

The quick thinking chap immediately phoned the police from his cell phone and started chasing the car on foot. His inebriated partner swerved down Warren and turned right on Franklin. The police dispatcher went into action and called any available cars to let them know about the stolen car. Police cars in the area immediately found and stopped the car at Franklin and Marlowe.

The dispatcher who was on the phone with the now out-of-breath man and asked him what was the name of the date. He replied in a weakened voice “Holly Woodâ€￾! Needless to say his date’s name was not Holly Wood. She was allegedly charged with Grand Theft Auto and DUI. That God for our fast acting L.P.D.

Bill

I thought this might be a story about a real Hollywood star that is in town.

One of the stars opf Xena Warrior Princess is visiting with her family I have heard.

Is it bad that I used to watch that show. Or just bad that I told everybody? ;-)

Dee,

It's my wife who listens to the scanner into the wee hours of the morning. It keeps me awake while she's sound asleep.

I really should call Xena by her real name Lucy Lawless!

 I can testify that it's true. The noise eventually puts me to sleep.

Whether my husband stays up after that watching Warrior Princesses, I can't say.

He married one, after all.
