Fatal Car Crash on Madison Avenue

Post by dl meckes »

A Cleveland man driving on Madison Avenue crashed his white pick-up truck into a tree, causing the tree to fall over on to three children, ages one, five, and 15.

The one-year-old child was killed and two other children are injured.

The conditions of the five-year-old and 15-year-old are unknown.

The 38-year-old driver was arrested on the scene. Charges have not yet been filed.

No names have been released.

This accident occurred around 7 PM at Alameda and Madison.

Our hearts go out to the families of the children - and to all of the first responders.

There was also reason to believe that alcohol was involved. It was a 15 year old with her 5 year old cousin. I'm not sure the relation on the 1 year old. This is very tragic and our family gives our deepest sympothy.

OMG DL this puts every thing else into perspective. I can't imagine what this family is going through and truthfully it could have been any family in Lakewood. Please let us know if there is any information on anything that we can do. Do you know what block on Alameda?

Rick

You are killing me. It carries youtube signatures.

I thought you were trying to sell a house in Lakewood? Instead it would appear that you are really into pointing out just how out of control crime is. Before all of this I thought Wynadotte was an OK street, but during the election I found out your house was locate right in the middle of Lakewood's High Crime Area.

Just another op to destroy Lakewood's property values, while helping pipe thieves find foreclosed homes.

FWIW

And why are you accusing me of helping copper pipe thieves? That doesn't make any sense.

Why are you bringing up the election again?

Do you still subscribe to the notion that crime is actually down and everything is just fine?

And what do your personal attacks have to do with a drunk driver killing an innocent baby on Madison Ave.?
Personal attacks?!

We find out that copper pipe thieves, we looking for foreclosed homes.

I thought at one time your house was for sale?

Actually I belong to the mindset that dirty laundry does not have to be hung in the front yard, and that to showcase any problem without taking even small steps to try and fix the problem is lame.

Please note none of these were personal attacks on the you, unless...

I go back to the election because I saw more than one politician on TV and residents speaking out about how crime was out of control in Lakewood. Now we can have that same megaphone working 24/7/365. I mean like I said, I was able to find out Wynadotte is dangerous to live on and that Arthur was just like East Cleveland. When the Observer software was first being looked at, everyone thought Lakewood might be a nice place to move. One year later, that perception is gone, GONE! Now we are the people that are saying here despite the crime, no I take that back, "bad crime." I have had a member of the East Cleveland Observer ask about Arthur in discussion and how bad it is.

Lakewood is taking a massive hit in property value and "branding" and it was done by us.

Go figure.

Video troubling, yes, and viewing it again and again makes it...

Just curious thoughts, as I watch outsiders burn the city down, with locals throwing in kindling and gas.

Rick Uldricks wrote: I guess that once again, posting in Jim O'Bryan's Bully-Pit is an "at your own risk" proposition and if people from all over the world read the LO and hit this site like you say -- this is part of "The Brand" too.

Well Rick, it just does not have the same effect anymore. Jim O'Bryan's bully pulpit. Why attack me, I only join discussion started by others in a website I have very little to do with anymore. Ask Jim DeVito, who I barely knew and is running the Deck. I have asked for no special favors, never edited anyone, only used my thoughts directly linked to my name.

I have no voice, no opinion, no thought allowed? I am not allowed to talk about the conversations in the rest of the county about how bad crime was last fall and it is only getting worse, thanks to the handiwork of a few.

Wait your words are gold, mine are lead? One name, one voice. So you stand "shouting" me down because of my bully pulpit?

Let's go back and look at the tape again.

Point of correction, within the past couple of days some posts and a satiric image were edited.

I would guess that the image creator never had any malicious intent nor any idea how deeply upset some of our Deck participants were, but we did, in fact, make changes to the image and to several posts that mentioned a person's name.

Crimewood - A right wing propoganda site that emerged during the election cycle last year.

Citing crimewood is a slap in the face to many of us in Lakewood.

And if you check back to post last summer - Rick - you were going on and on about not being able to sell your house.

You seem to be all over the place.

Live up to your words.

DL

Please, the poster was called and asked politely how he felt about changing it. No one was made to change it, no threats were ever made. If he had not changed it or taken it down, I think it would have been up today.

I would hope that ever change was made by the poster with their full agreement.

Big difference from what you were saying.
