AGS in Business
Much to my surprise, there was an article in the PD Business section about a new software company founded in Lakewood.
AGS Software Development, Inc. is mentioned for a product that makes "launching new 'hyper-local' newspapers feasible for entrepreneurs."
Let's hope this news spreads far and wide so other communities may benefit from having their own local newspapers.

Lakewoodites looked at first for positions at both companies. Lakewood only on the advisory board for the Lakewood Observer. Lakewood owned and controlled 100% of the time.Jim DeVito wrote:Somehow I think where they came from is their strongest selling point.
Offices to stay and grow in Lakewood.
We practice what we preach.
On the flip side we love to point our that if we were able to accomplish this is a city where the publisher is hated, just think of what you could do in a city not so entrenched!
While many in the publishing business are amazed at what we have done there, wait till you see what AGS developed for schools and cities!

I think this is better news for you than us! This story is actually a couple years old in this form. the real news was Tim Curtiss Wall Street Exec for 20 years, start-up specialist seeing enough value in this to come on board.
He has done more in one week than I have done in 4 years.
This is good news for everyone, especially your family from your children to their great grandfather. They can get new shoes! The Rossen family has been a very gracious and good supporter of this and other AGS projects.
It is why I always shop Rozi's, and support Jordan Family Foundation.
Thanks for the congrats.

Good take Sharon. I agree with you. Jim O’Bryan does stand in the great American tradition of “The Lightning-Rod Man.†He is a “dealer in lightning-rods,†of the order Herman Melville describes in a great little story.
With Ninth Estate Software he will create “Himalayas of concussions" for old school newspapers.
Herman Melville’s conclusion to the story might help us fathom the type of snap-crackle and pop character we can enjoy with Jim O’Bryan and the Ninth Estate in our neighborhood:
“But spite of my treatment, and spite of my dissuasive talk of him to my neighbors, the Lightning-rod man still dwells in the land; still travels in storm-time, and drives a brave trade with the fears of man.â€

Thanks for the kind words, but it really does not blend well with the LO Screen Play. And everything has to be focused to the end, as it was the first chapter written.
Seriously, I would love to get more residents involved, in this, lightening in a bottle, we have not even taken this baby out of first gear, it has so much more to offer.
More announcements coming.
