Thanks Jim,
The spotlight interview was done in celebration of "entrepreneurship week" where LCCC looked into former and current students at the school that do their own thing.
The interview will be linked on the home page of the college where students and faculty can click on my ugly face and it will take them to the interview and a personality profile about me.
Scary, but it was neat sitting in the TV studio. Of course I helped set up lights and every now and then I jumped up and checked out the camera angles and how everything worked.
I'll feel really bad for my future wedding photographer!

I've done a lot in this life already, but one of the cool parts will be, one day in the not so distant future, being able to tell my son. "yup, I got to go bowling with that guy."
I told you Jim, stop telling Ivor how good he is. Maybe if he doesn't find out, we might be able to keep him around a little longer. Sure, he'll eventually find out how talented he is and hit the big time, but do we have to rush him?

The entire Observer Project is about empowerment. Yesterday I found out that Bob Ignizio will be writing for the FreeTimes, and the Observer. Others are using their involvement to take the next step in their careers. This is all good, and shows how well this works. Unlike some that fear the LO, the FreeTimes and Scene has always been good supporters of this project and Lakewood.
As for Ivor, I spent a day hitting galleries and visiting friends in Manhattan, and they are anxious to get Ivor to New York. As I showed them his work, they were amazed at the eye and the attitude. I think sooner than later, we will be telling people, we knew him when. Yet Ivor has the blood in him. He has always been a great ambassador for the Observer Project and Lakewood.
Another one of our photographers David Lay is headed to the MidWest and I have been working behind the scenes to make sure he will also have Observer support after his marriage and move. David Lay has always been there for this project as it should be. We will be there for him as well.
It is funny how some understand the Observer project and others fight it tooth and nail. Just yesterday I was involved in a discussion with someone that told me the paper was pro-Kucinich. All I could do was laugh. I had to correct them and say, I was pro-Kucinich, and Ivor was pro-Kucinich. But if they had spent more time writing and less time bitching and painting the Observer as agenda driven, they might have actually taken part, and moved the perception in their direction.
The Observer is nothing more than a free tool to be used by Lakewoodites, businesses, non-profits and city hall to inform residents, get views, news and opinions out, and to frame and discuss life and life in Lakewood.
Ivor, simply understands this far better than most and is now reaping the rewards. I could not be happier for the guy, or the city.
Party on.

I can one-up-you Bret. My son has spent time with Ivor getting photography tips. How's that? I know, don't worry. I corrected everything. Just kidding Ivor. As you know it's appreciated.Bret Callentine wrote:being able to tell my son. "yup, I got to go bowling with that guy."
Ivor, I watched the youtube vids. Better take your guitar to Phoenix Monday. BTW, being a Clapton fan, you know who his biggest influence was, right? Dylan.

I'm going to the Andy Warhol museum tomorrow. Maybe someday we'll go to the Ivor museum?
Good luck David in you marriage and endeavors!
