I saw an article in the Lakewood Observer today about them needing Foster Families for the spring when people abandon mother cats who are pregnant.
I did this two years ago and my daughter did this last year.
This was one of the most amazing experiences that we have ever had. I adopted two babies and my daughter kept the mother. If you are thinking about maybe getting a pet - this is a great experience. You get to see them from right after they are born on and can help socialize them. The mother cat does most of the work for you - so it isn't tough - you and your family get the pleasure of watching and interracting with them as they grow.
Even if you don't want a permanent pet - this is a fun activity for the family for a couple of months.
So if you are thinking maybe.... just go and do it. I think it will be the time of your life.
