Hi,
I just read the following: Waste Not, want not
It discusses a small scale device that seeks to solve India's energy and sanitation problems with an at-home biogas digester.
Well, that's interesting for them but we have a nice system in place where all our waste is collected and sent to the sewer treatment plant. Now, why can't something like this method be employed down at the sewer treatment plant to create gas for City use?
Why, I'll bet we could get one of these devices and put at the dog park and have a cozy gas driven fireplace.
Can this be done on a large scale?
Can we as a City use our crap to save tax dollars?

The small scale solution is simply a replacement for septic tank. Here's the picture:
It would seem that if you can do this on a small scale we should be able to do it on a large scale at the sewer plant.

Does freezing affect the process?
Will the neighbors complain about odor?
Is the dome warranty invalid if you affix colorful stickers to it? Would we have to build enclosures to hide the dome?
Jut how big is that dome?
It does seem like there would be an endless supply of... product.
How would get the product into the processor at the dog park?
