Just because Senator Obama doesn't gather thousands into a center to go over how the Office of Management and Budget "scores" legislation or offers flip charts as to how the Workforce Investment Act is missing its intended mark doesn't mean he doesn't have positions.

Don't believe in the hogwash being offered by the Clinton machine to try to "define" the opponent. Each of the remaining Dem and Rep candidates has made their positions on dozens of issues readily available in debates and online. However, Ralph Nader is another story altogether.

As I was working, really did not hear much.

The one thing I heard that bothered me was, "The war will cost over 1 Trillion Dollars. that money could have been better used..."

Well that money is borrowed money.

It could have best been used not borrowing it!

As D. Anderson points out, his message and his platform is on his website. His message is not that different from Hillary. I prefer to make the louder statement with Obama. Also his attitude seems much more laid back. It reminded me of the days Andrew Young was our Ambassador to the UN.

In this day and age I think you can get elected to anything saying "Change."

This was more of a "rally" so that most there were not looking for depth, as much as inspiration. The man is inspirational to say the least.

I cannot see how a "100 year war" will sell on the McCain side. I am not sure that Mrs Clinton, gets the fact that she is not change. If Barack was not running she would be a shoe in, but...

Tomorrow night should be interesting.

This is true, but one could argue that even one month of War spending put towards a more local initiative would have been better spent. One month of Iraq War spending would pay for nearly 3 years of the SCHIP program, for example. I think the cost to benefit ratio is better with the latter than the former. Even if you don't agree with the SCHIP program, one would think you can see the spending priorities in this country are out of wack right now.

So let's say we take 1/12 of each year of war spending since 2002 and we can essentially ensure health care for a qualifying child born today until he is adult. Period. The other 11/12 a year can go back to the World Bank or China or whomever we owe.

It is all about priorities. I want to vote for a guy who thinks that the war on terror won't be won by settling in for the next century.
